![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Does your city have a "Beer Week"?
Does your city (or large town) have a few breweries/brewpubs and/or a history involving beer? Chances are good that it does. Is it lacking inspiration for a week-long celebration? Why not have a "beer week"? It seems to be working for a growing number of American cities! Beer Weeks tend to focus both on the history of brewing in the city as well as to showcase the current breweries, brewpubs and beer bars throughout the metropolitan area. Events are held at a number of different beer-related venues and a majority of the focus is on, well, you guessed it, beer. I am blown away by how many American cities have organized beer weeks of late, many hosting their first this year. Its truly a testament to just how much we've really embraced the growing culture behind craft beer. American Cities with their own "Beer Week": Charlotte - April 15-22, 2009 (TBD 2010) States with their own "Beer Week": Indiana - TBD On a national level, we also have American Craft Beer Week!
